VOODOO FREN AKA NARROW LEAF FERN

Here are some tips for caring for a narrow leaf fern aka Voodoo Ferns
  • Lighting

Voodoo Ferns can thrive in low to moderate light conditions. Too much light can cause algae to grow on the leaves.

  • Temperature

Voodoo Ferns can tolerate a wide range of water temperatures, from the upper 60s to 83°F.

  • Fertilizer

Voodoo Ferns can absorb nutrients from the water, but you can provide a liquid aquarium fertilizer every two weeks to encourage faster growth and better leaf color.

  • Water

Voodoo Ferns  can tolerate hard or soft water, but their growth will be stunted if the pH is below 4.0. In a standard aquarium, keep the water pH between 5.5 and 7.0.

  • Placement

Attach Voodoo Ferns to a piece of wood or rock, and don’t bury their roots in the substrate. They can be placed in the midground or background of the tank.

  • Growth

Voodoo Ferns are slow growing plants. Trim or remove older leaves that become crinkled or blackened.

  • Flow

Voodoo Ferns prefer some flow, but too much flow can make them more vulnerable to algae.

  • Substrate

Voodoo Ferns don’t require substrate, making them a good choice for bare bottom tanks.

VOODOO FERNS are easy to care for and are a good choice for beginners.
